Cristina Battaglia

Cristina Battaglia, Master Degree in Physics, is Programme Manager of the RAISE Innovation Ecosystem (Robotics and AI for Socioeconomic Empowerment) selected and funded by the Ministry of University and Research as part of Mission 4 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. She was head of the Research Valorization Office of the National Research Council and coordinator of the technical-scientific secretariat of the President of the CNR.
She held the role of Executive Manager of the START4.0 Competence Center funded by the Ministry for Economic Development (now MIMIT) to support the digital transition of businesses.
From 2011 to 2016 she was Director of the Research, Innovation and Energy Sector of the Liguria Region. Previously she held the position of President and Sole Director of BIC Liguria.
She was part of the Board of Directors of the RIMED Foundation and Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste and was Vice President of ENEA. She has been a member Executive Boards of the Italian Industrial Research Association and of the NETVAL Association (Network for the valorisation of Research).
Cristina Battaglia has been involved in technology transfer and management of research, development and innovation for over 20 years, managing and coordinating numerous projects at national and European level. She has been part of several commissions for the evaluation of projects in the research and innovation field.
