II edition of the “Smart City” UniGe conference with RAISE research products

On Thursday, Feb. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Genoa (DIEC, Graduate Hall, Via Vivaldi 5), the 2nd edition of the “Smart City: urban technologies for socio-economic inclusion” conference.

The aim of the conference is to consolidate the network of UniGe professors, researchers and researchers who deal with the transversal theme of the smart city from different points of view, bringing into dialogue the countless research carried out in this area by the University of Genoa and, in particular, the projects developed within the RAISE innovation ecosystem.

After the introduction by Laura Gaggero, vice-rector for research at the University of Genoa, the keynote speakers’ presentations are:
– Paola Dameri (UniGe, Spoke 1), the rector’s delegate for the Smart city, guides the discovery of how the concept of the smart city has transformed over the years and what the future prospects are;
– Matteo Campora, councilor of the Liguria Region, discusses how Liguria is evolving from a Smart City to a Smart Region;
– Giampiero Biamino, vice president of the Genova Smart City Association, shares the concrete experience of Genoa as a smart city;
– Alfredo Viglienzoni, Smart City expert, explores the role of artificial intelligence in public administration.

The conference continues with two parallel sessions, each consisting of two panels on the fundamental themes for the development of smart cities: ICT for the Smart City; rights and security in the Smart city; the environment and quality of life; governance, mobility and regeneration of the territory.
