The first Tool Course of the P3 – OFFICINAE RAISE project, part of the RAISE Training Program Spoke 5

On 28 March 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at Talent Garden, Baltimore Gardens 1, the first of the three Tool Courses of the P3 | OFFICINAE RAISE project, part of the RAISE Training Program, coordinated by Spoke 5, will be held.

The project will involve a group of Master’s and PhD students from the University of Genoa, who have been selected through a special call for applications (link), in a course aimed at fostering the development of entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary skills.

For this first training activity, the program is as follows:
– 9.00 – Introduction and presentation by Nicoletta Buratti, Miriam Molinari and Francesco Vitellaro (RAISE, UNIGE and IIT teams)
– 9.30 – “Design Thinking: general concepts” by:
Danilo Rolle (Creative Lead and Design Manager with experience in agencies, multinationals and start-ups. Creative Lead and Experience Design Manager at Avanade, a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft, where he designs digital experiences that combine strategy, design and technology. Founder of DOTS, a design community connecting people, ideas and experiences in the design world. Member of the Awwwards jury, lecturer at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti and mentor on ADPList);
Simone Arecco (Digital Products & Experience Design Director of Costa Crociere’s Global Marketing team, where he is responsible for defining the product strategy and long-term vision to create high-impact digital experiences. He has been working in the digital scene for over 20 years with experience in international contexts. He began his career in Communication and Advertising agencies, working for international realities such as Agency.com group TBWA and then moved on to digital marketing for major multinational companies, including SIEMENS).

– 11.45 – “Application cases of design thinking in the high tech sector and in the world of AI and company testimony”
by Francesco Boano (Chief Technology Officer of Next 14. He has been involved in the development of digital platforms and data analysis for several years, with a particular focus on the new frontiers of Big Data and Data Science, particularly in the field of digital advertising. At Next 14, he is in charge of technological development, pursuing the group’s vision of harnessing data to better understand audiences and their interests in order to create effective communication)
– 13.15 – Lunch break
– 14.00 – “Introduction to group work and explanation of the day’s tasks” by Alessandro Cricchio and Matteo Camia
– 14.30 – “Development, in groups, of the design phase of practical cases”, inspired by the needs and technological solutions that emerged from the RAISE Spokes, with feedback and support from mentors:
Alessandro Cricchio (CEO of Talent Garden Genova, civil lawyer expert in innovative startups and founder of ADD+, a Growth Enabler that offers solutions, experience and design to support SMEs and Startups in the Territory),
Matteo Camia (Founder & CEO of Fancy Factory, a transversal digital agency offering global solutions to support companies in digital transformation. Expert in User Experience design with over ten years of experience),
Riccardo Prosperi (CFO and Innovation Manager of Talent Garden Genova and co-founder of Boschi Vivi, with over ten years of experience in the design of innovation initiatives, programmes and ecosystems with public and private stakeholders)
Paolo Guria (founder and CEO of Unconventional Minds, a startup studio specialising in robotics and mechatronics. With over 20 years of experience in automation, he has dedicated the last 8 years to projects of excellence: 6 years at IIT, focused on the design, construction and debugging of multi-joint and humanoid robots, and 2 years at ALTO Robotics, where he developed the Robot NODE, winner of the Red Dot Award and the IF Award).
– 18.00 – End of Workshop, with the possibility for participants to continue working on site in the Talent Garden Genova spaces.
